A small box containing a piece of chocolate will appear on your pillow during the day. When consumed, the chocolate’s magic will lift your mood for a short period of time. It’s accompanied by a note.]

Where love might bring about sorrow, it also welcomes joy.

[ In honour of the god centering on love being a giant frilly prissypants, Loki sends his own little gift just a few hours after hers.

His box of chocolate will look, smell, and taste exactly like Freya's did, appearing right next to where Freya's was or is if you haven't picked it up yet. The only difference between the two is that Loki's won't lift your mood; it'll give you loud and embarrassing flatulence for the next three hours.

It's also accompanied by a note. ]

Where joy might bring about yearning, it also welcomes wonder.

I should've done this sooner. It's just been so busy, I got a job and joined the medic corps and that whole thing with the ecstasy runes... but, um, thanks. And sorry you were the one who got the nervous breakdown treatment, even if - I'm kind of not, because you pretty much handled it like a pro, so I'm glad it was you. But that's just if it had to happen at all, which I wish it didn't, so that's why I'm sorry.

Anyway. Thanks. I'm a bit more sane now, if you ever wanna have a proper talk about anything.

[She laughs.] I said I'm more sane now! That includes less acts of random and wanton violence.

Oh - sure, yeah. [She didn't really expect it to be immediate, but that works for her. There's some rustling on her end, probably her digging out the map.] You said Hel, right? That's... three slices away, I'll skate over.

[Working on shoring up some of the sidewalk up front, where a few cracks had shown up.]

[When she comes gliding into view a couple of blocks from the welcome hall, dressed in much more appropriate jeans and a plain, pale blue t-shirt (everything so nondescript that it's obviously what she was given on arrival), she's clearly had a bit of a workout. She wasn't expecting this bad of terrain in Hel, so it's been a mess of hopping and side-stepping and sudden brakes to keep from falling on her face. A walk would've been a much better, if slower, idea.

Once she reaches him, she pulls to a stop in front of where he's working and rests her hands on her hips.]

You guys did take a beating, huh. [A quick pause, mostly to catch her breath, and then in a lighter tone:] Did I really see an Asgard theme park back there?

[She means the Dark Carnival, obviously, which is more kitschy than genuinely frightening in broad daylight, even if the damage it took did add something to the creepiness factor.]

[He straightens up, and grins at her.]

We took a few hits, yeah. Hel is the death-house, though, so everyone here is kind of used to destruction and mayhem. We thrive with it, pretty much.

[Giving her a nod to follow him inside.]

The park is just weird. I haven't figured it out yet.

The death house. [Her voice is flat, without that note of potential hysteria it had on the day they met whenever she questioned anything he said.] Considering I met an actual dead person on my second day here, I don't know if I should ask what you mean by that.

[She follows him in, stepping carefully until she gets inside, where she immediately sits down on the floor to unlace her skates. She's got a pair of equally nondescript running shoes thrown over her shoulder with the laces tied together, and once she's got them on and is standing up again, she just barely clears five feet tall.]

Oh, nothing terrible. People who have an affinity to the morbid. I've seen a lot of fighting, and had- a person or two close to me murdered. Or you get people who have survived wars, or people who, you know, see dead people, or people who have lost their families. There's a necromancer, he's so cool. Stuff from the edgier side of the traveler pool.

[Quentin, who stands well over six feet, has to look down almost comically at her. He nods her insider.]

So the houses really are themed, hu - holy shit.

[Yeah, she's just looking waaaaay up and realizing how massive he is. The skate wheels give her a considerable height boost, enough that she just felt short-short like usual, but now she feels microscopic-short.]

Just saying, if you want a neckrub after each time we hang out, I'll consider it a fair exchange and not a creepy come-on. Sorry about my vertical challenges.

[Just going on the off chance that you doesn't remember anything. Which Quentin wouldn't, were he that high.]
