"One week," he murmurs, an agreement and a promise and a warning. He leans over Quentin's body, tugging his shirt up and pressing a kiss to his side as he keeps working at Quentin's hip.
Quentin lifts both elbows up over his head, and drops his knee down off the edge of the couch to pull himself into a long stretch. With his forearms covering his eyes, he doesn't quite hide his wide smile.
"Be careful not to cross the gander, A bird composed of beak and dander, His heart is filled with prideful hate Of all the world except his mate. And if the neighbors do not err He's overfond of beating her. Is she happy? What's the use Of trying to psychoanalyze a goose?"
He memorized this for him a bit ago, and has been saving it for him, for a suitably silly moment alone.
Quentin gives into laughter- the real kind, the laugh that actually sounds subtly ridiculous and too high pitched so he tries very hard not too give into it. It's a 'once or twice a year' laugh.
He has his revenge by trying to tangle both legs around him, wrestling to thwart him. It does genuinely tickle.
Jedao wriggles like an eel, twisting to give Quentin raspberries on his thighs, too, delighted to draw out that bright outrageous laugh as long as he can.
Wonders Quentin, with an expressive flick of his eyes in the direction of their bedroom instead. He touches a toe to the back of his calm, trailing lightly, just a thought.
Jedao kisses him again, then slither-rolls off the couch to better scoop him up into a careful bridal carry. He nuzzles Quentin's neck before heading into the bedroom.
"I love scooping you up. All your long pretty bones in a bundle. I'd need to do a rescue carry for Fives, and I'd still be huffing and puffing. You're dainty and it's very sexy."
As usual, Jedao's flirtation is slightly weird but also weirdly compelling.
Quentin doesn't speak this peculiar language of Jedao's fluently, but he does feel like part of him responds in it.
"Like I have a fantasy where I invent a spell so that we can etch your gears into them. Under my skin, where no one will know. And I don't know if I want to tell you where or just do it and tell you to try to find them with your teeth. This is an unusual impulse for me, but it's also something I spend a lot of time thinking about."
